Drop in for our Winter Latin Dance Intensive running Mondays 6:30pm-8pm - Bachata & Salsa on2 now running through Dec. 18th. Six classes that are open level, beginner friendly. E.Mayimbe  and I will present CURATE (Heal thyself) at the Seattle Salsa Congress ! We had a blast at the Latin Rhythms event. The Reflections of OYA piece, in collaboration with the Seattle Women's Steel Pan Project, was performed to live music at the Meyenbauer in Bellevue.  The lovely Kiara Hall, Consuelo Palmer and Marisela Bustos shared their magic- much love!

Thanksgiving update

Happy Holidays everyone! ** BALORICO's inaugural season went off with a bang this fall and we are grateful to be have been able to share and promote dance in the Northwest. ** Fall 2009 BALORICO was at: the Women's University Club in Seattle celebrating "El Dia de la Cancion Criolla," the Peruvian fiesta celebrating the Day of the Creole Song. We presented a Viennese Waltz and other Peruvian traditional dances performed by students from our Ballroom classes at Kenyon Hall...we collaborated with Mt. Ranier High School's student dance club in coaching their final performance for the Latino Family Night...we had the wonderful opportunity to present an Afroperuvian masterclass with live percussion and dance at the Dance Educator's Association of Washington's fall conference held at Pacific Northwest Ballet's Francia Russel Center in Bellevue. BALORICO offers weekly dance training all summer long.   BALORICO DANCE is open for  Drop in  classes during the month of June.  Our 7pm class is the most fitting for beginner dancers where you can get a taste of the two most popular Latin rhythms- Salsa & Bachata. Join us at 8pm if you have prior experience with Salsa on2 and are looking for a fun workout. For dancers with more experience, try our Wednesday 8pm class for a combination of Salsa & Bachata II.  Viva Arts is located just off of the West Seattle bridge.  Try a class  or reserve a spot for the next series  that begins Monday July 1st, beginners signup here . balorico@gmail.com Later this month, on Monday June 24th, reserve time with us 7-9pm.  We have a special bootcamp dance evening set to help level up dancers' technique.
