Dance Because You Can

This FALL gear up to join us on the dance floor with the new dance series. The theme for this coming season is "soft." How you press into the floor with the ball of your feet, how you approach contact with your partner while leading a turn, sometimes "softness" invites trust from a brand new movement partner. Finding that smooth connection is our goal with SALSA & BACHATA classes this coming month. Sign up links are below. See you at Viva Arts, 4421 Fauntleroy Way SW, for our exciting FALL season.

We return to our two month cycle of classes this Fall. Register today to re/start the journey! Each 6-7 week course includes a PRACTICA. Beginner dancers: take the time to practice in between your classes. You will be surprised what a difference a 15 minute review does for your learning. Our classes develop your confidence, drill the fundamentals and guide you through the process of being comfortable with dancing with new people. GO FOR IT!

Experienced dancers join us at 8pm Mondays and Wednesdays for progressions and variations of all the fundamental steps. The Monday class will propel experienced dancers to do more with combination work. Dancers must be able to execute clean turns with correct arm coordination. The Wednesday class will focus on developing your spinning and styling technique. LOCK IN with these progressive classes this Fall.

  • Saturday September 13th is the Fall Salsa & Sangria event at Estrellita's Library in Beacon Hill. Thanks to those that have already come out to show your support for literacy and community access. Stop by to meet new people, support a wonderful cause, bring the family and meet up for the 4pm Salsa & Bachata dance lessons.
  • Wednesday October 22nd is the next PRACTICA. We have a great time at these Wednesday night mini socials and dancers of all experiences are welcome. Join us 9pm at Viva Arts studio.

Salsa & Bachata in West Seattle

Our next dance party, the PRACTICA   is   a great way for beginners to dive into the fun of social dancing. We are holding it one hour earlier this month, and for the second hour, dancers can  meetup for a beverage in the West Seattle Junction.
