Ballroom Dancing and more!

Whew... A long weekend of activity. The ArtsTime Conference for Dance Educators received us well with our AfroPeruvian Dance & Percussion presentation. Thank you to Ernesto Pediangco of the Pan American Rhythm Band who contributed his expertise.

We also had the pleasure of helping CarpeDance welcome Pierre Dulaine to Seattle who is the creator of "Dancing Classrooms" the NYC program that was documented in the film MadHot Ballroom and my former boss. Some things never change (for the good) check out the clip that Lori Matsukawa of King 5 put together for Highland Park Elementary.

BALORICO offers weekly dance training all summer long.   BALORICO DANCE is open for  Drop in  classes during the month of June.  Our 7pm class is the most fitting for beginner dancers where you can get a taste of the two most popular Latin rhythms- Salsa & Bachata. Join us at 8pm if you have prior experience with Salsa on2 and are looking for a fun workout. For dancers with more experience, try our Wednesday 8pm class for a combination of Salsa & Bachata II.  Viva Arts is located just off of the West Seattle bridge.  Try a class  or reserve a spot for the next series  that begins Monday July 1st, beginners signup here . balorico@gmail.com Later this month, on Monday June 24th, reserve time with us 7-9pm.  We have a special bootcamp dance evening set to help level up dancers' technique.   Get ready for summer! Cross-train and start a new healthy habit. Our next series  helps you b uild confidence. Make new dance friends and enjoy more practice. Our next PRACTICA is May 29th at 9pm .  Drop by and get some one on one coaching. Try following. Try leading. Just keep dancing. Sign up on our Classes & Workshops page . Our two month series classes set you up for fun and are a consistent place to practice in a welcoming studio space dedicated to dance. As dancers progress and move up a level, they see how shoes make a difference. Enjoy spinning on our hard-wood floor!  Do you enjoy following, but wish to try leading or vice-versa? Go for it in our 8pm classes Mondays and Wednesdays.
