NEW YEAR Salsa & Bachata WEST SEATTLE


Amidst the way of the world, it is great to have a home for dance and movement at Viva Arts! Visit our DANCE STUDIO home of dance, art and amazing diverse instructors building community. 

This Winter season is for motivational groove and musical flow as you practice dancing Salsa on2 and Bachata, two of our most favorite rhythms. Where to start? Try a beginner booster series Mondays at 7pm or jump into an intermediate class if you already have Salsa dance experience. We dance Salsa on2/New York style mambo. Into the New Year, our Wednesday night 8pm class will include Salsa on2 and Bachata for comfortable dancers. Enjoy the level II class that is open to all duets and singles. Consistent attendance recommended as all classes are progressive.  Be ready for a dancing NEW YEAR and sign up now for classes.

FOR THE LOCALS AND THEIR GUESTS VISITING FOR THE HOLIDAYS, join us December 27th at 8pm. Our PRACTICA session is beginner friendly and a chance to practice dancing non-stop switching between dance styles. The meetup includes mini dance lessons and a chance to try leading and following in various Latin dance rhythms. Music: Merengue, Bachata, Samba, Cumbia, Salsa and Regaton. Meet and mingle! $20 door/$15 advance. Tickets here.

Thanksgiving update

Happy Holidays everyone! ** BALORICO's inaugural season went off with a bang this fall and we are grateful to be have been able to share and promote dance in the Northwest. ** Fall 2009 BALORICO was at: the Women's University Club in Seattle celebrating "El Dia de la Cancion Criolla," the Peruvian fiesta celebrating the Day of the Creole Song. We presented a Viennese Waltz and other Peruvian traditional dances performed by students from our Ballroom classes at Kenyon Hall...we collaborated with Mt. Ranier High School's student dance club in coaching their final performance for the Latino Family Night...we had the wonderful opportunity to present an Afroperuvian masterclass with live percussion and dance at the Dance Educator's Association of Washington's fall conference held at Pacific Northwest Ballet's Francia Russel Center in Bellevue. BALORICO offers weekly dance training all summer long.   BALORICO DANCE is open for  Drop in  classes during the month of June.  Our 7pm class is the most fitting for beginner dancers where you can get a taste of the two most popular Latin rhythms- Salsa & Bachata. Join us at 8pm if you have prior experience with Salsa on2 and are looking for a fun workout.
